School of Rock uses a performance-based curriculum, something that sets it apart from other local music schools. The Rock 101, Performance, Rookies, Songwriting, Little Wing and House Band music programs are for ages 3-18 (adult is 18 and older), with weekly private lessons and group rehearsals of classic rock songs. School of Rock offers kids and adults guitar, drum, bass, keyboard and singing lessons for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Music camps and workshops also are held periodically. Last January, Sum 41 drummer Frank Zummo held a workshop at eight School of Rock locations.

Sourcing & Methodology
Press-Enterprise readers cast ballots, mostly online, from April 14-May 14 to select winners in 80 categories ranging from favorite places to go or eat to best auto repair shops and garden centers/nurseries. Participants were allowed to cast only one ballot per day and were required to vote in at least 20 categories for their opinions to be tallied. Reader participation and businesses voted on included a wide swath of the Inland Empire which, beyond Riverside, stretched from Corona to San Bernardino, Redlands and Beaumont to the north and south to include Lake Elsinore, Murrieta and Temecula.
