Riverside County Sheriff’s Department investigators say they’ve determined a 17-year-old is responsible for the killing of a Moreno Valley man in November in Soboba.
The teen from Riverside is already in custody for an unrelated case, and the Sheriff’s Department expects they’ll face charges of murder and assault with a deadly weapon, the department said in a Tuesday news release. The identity of the teen was not immediately released.
Deputies with the Hemet station responded around 11:35 a.m. on Nov. 6 to the 43200 block of Castile Canyon Road in Soboba, east of San Jacinto, where they found a man with traumatic injuries.
Souriyan Souksanti, 43, died at the scene, and another man was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
Officials ask anyone with information on the killing to contact investigators at 951-955-2777.
