Two All-Orange County senior basketball players for Mater Dei signed with their college choices Wednesday.

Luke Barnett signed with Kansas and Kaeli Wynn signed with South Carolina.

Wynn was All-County first team last season when she averaged 17 points, seven rebounds and three assists a game. Her mother, Jody Wynn, who was an Orange County player of the year at Brea Olinda High, is the Mater Dei girls basketball coach.

Barnett was All-County first team last season when he averaged 21 points a game and made 94 3-point baskets over 31 games. He scored 55 points in a game to set Mater Dei’s boys basketball single-game scoring record. His father is Keith Barnett, the boys basketball coach at Aliso Niguel.

Kansas is No. 25  in the Associated Press men’s basketball preseason rankings. The South Carolina women’s team is No. 2 in the latest AP poll.
