Triple-digit temperatures have moved into the Inland Empire, leaving residents to find creative ways to beat the heat and still get their exercise.

Some residents have made indoor malls their walking path, enjoying the air conditioning while also getting in their steps.

A dedicated group arrives early at the Galleria at Tyler in Riverside most mornings to walk laps in the comfort of air conditioning.

The mall opens its doors for walkers — an hour before the stores inside — at 10 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. on Sundays.
