Two Fontana men were arrested in connection to a shooting that took place at a Riverside City Hall parking lot in October, authorities said.

On Oct. 5 at around 12:30 a.m., a man in his mid-20s was found by Riverside police officers suffering from a gunshot wound on the 3900 block of Main Street. Paramedics took the man in critical condition to a hospital.

He is still in critical condition, Officer Ryan Railsback, a Police Department spokesman, said on Thursday.

The man had been robbed in a nearby alley and then shot by two suspects in the parking lot, according to a news release.

Suspects Benjamin Boshae and Uriel Morales, both 19, were found in two Fontana homes after police served search warrants at the properties on Oct. 9.

Boshae has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder, armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and accessory after the fact.

Morales has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder and armed robbery. He faces a sentencing enhancement that he fired a gun from a vehicle.

Both men were being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

Police asked that anyone with additional information about the investigation contact Detective Nic Cantino at NCantino@RiversideCA.gov or 951-353-7104.
