JURUPA VALLEY — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed in a hit-and-run in Jurupa Valley, authorities said Sunday.
The crash was reported at 10:58 p.m. Saturday at Van Buren Boulevard and 56th Street, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The patient was pronounced dead at the scene, fire officials said.
In a Sunday news release, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said the victim, a male pedestrian, was struck in the southbound lanes of Van Buren by a vehicle that fled the scene.
The victim’s identity was not immediately released. Information was not immediately available on the involved vehicle or driver.
