Santa Susana Mountains, Southern Ventura County Mountains, Northern Ventura County Mountains, 5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita and Western San Gabriel Mountains/Highway 14 Corridor are the focus of an updated wind advisory issued at 12:17 p.m. on Thursday by the National Weather Service. The advisory is valid from 10 p.m. until Friday 2 p.m.

According to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA, “North to northeast winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
