5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita and Western Antelope Valley Foothills are the focus of an updated wind advisory issued at 2:17 a.m. on Tuesday by the National Weather Service. The advisory is in effect until noon.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA adds to expect, “Northwest to north winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
