Eastern Mojave Desert, Including the Mojave National Preserve and Morongo Basin are included in a wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 1:39 a.m. The advisory is valid from 7 p.m. until Friday, Mar. 7 at 1 a.m.

According to the NWS Las Vegas NV, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
