Tehachapi, 5 freeway through Grapevine, Frazier Mountain Communities and Mojave Desert Slopes are under an updated wind advisory which was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 4:40 p.m. The advisory is in effect until 10 p.m.

The NWS Hanford CA says to anticipate, “East winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
