On Thursday at 3:32 p.m. an updated wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Friday, Mar. 7 at 1 a.m. for Morongo Basin.

The NWS Las Vegas NV states to prepare for, “West winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
