An updated wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 9:44 p.m. in effect until Monday, Mar. 3 at 4 p.m. for Western Mojave Desert.
According to the NWS Las Vegas NV, “West-southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Pockets of blowing dust and reduced visibility expected,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
