Work has begun on a new apartment “village” in Murrieta.
MBK Rental’s $80 million Vintage Farms, with R.D. Olson Construction at the helm, will include 330 apartments across 11 buildings with 15 standalone garages on a 15-acre site.
The five-phase project is taking shape at 28749 Clinton Keith Road (ZIP 92563) near Covenant Grace Church. Construction will start with the first two apartment buildings and two garages, plus the amenities, such as the clubhouse, pool, jacuzzi, barbecue areas and walkways.
From there, the next four phases will build out with two more apartment buildings and two to four garage structures.
R.D. Olson Construction said the village will have two different types of structures for the 11 apartment buildings. The first of nine will span 40,320 square feet and house 30 apartments. The remaining two buildings will be slightly larger, at 43,200 square feet each, also with 30 apartments each.
Floor plans will range from studios up to three-bedroom apartments. Each standalone garage will be next to the buildings, so tenants will be close to their vehicles. Each garage can fit seven to 16 cars with a combined 332 parking spaces in all.
The development will take 18 months, concluding in late 2026, according to the construction company.

Big Bear readies new eats, hotels for summer visitors
As the Big Bear mountain community cedes to summer, a host of hospitality operators are prepping for warm-weather visitors.
The town and Visit Big Bear have compiled a host of activities, including star gazing, wellness retreats and water play.
Let’s take a look at what’s new this summer:
Hotel Marina Riviera: Built 56 years ago in 1968 on the shores of Big Bear Lake, the hotel reopens this month after extensive renovations. The 42-room, Viking Lodge-inspired hotel has a new restaurant, an upgraded rear patio with hot tubs, new fire pits, a heated pool and a sauna. Address: 40715 Big Bear Blvd.; 909-555-6780. Tropicali: This sushi concept debuted this winter, offering diners a chance to choose among protein bowls (raw and cooked) with assorted toppings. The menu also features exotic smoothies and coffee combinations. Customers order on giant tablet-like screens and wait for their orders to be called out. The inflatable waterpark at Pine Knot Marina is celebrating its opening day June 14. Swimmers pay $19.99 for sessions that start at the top of each hour. Children must be at least 8 years and older to partake without an adult. Kids age 7 and younger must be in the water with an adult. The waterpark, which features a number of inflatable slides and platforms, is run by the owners of Big Bear Watersports School. Both are located at 439 Pine Knot Ave. Phone: 909-229-0035
Snow Summit opened its trails Friday, June 6 for scenic rides on chairlifts and mountain biking.
Big Bear Alpine Zoo has some new residents: The resident kestrel, Bootstrap, has a new roommate, Will Turner. The bird of prey came to zoo this fall with an injured wing, which healed but did suffer some loss of agility. So, he’s a full-time zoo member now. The town’s tourism department is also working on SkyFest, a two-day “Feast of the Skies” in late August. Expect star parties, forest sound baths, night hikes and astrophotography classes and more.
A variety of new overnight rentals include Skyview Manor, The Getaway Club, Waterfront Dreams, Perez Resort, White Pine Lodge, Villa Felicita and Bella Villa.
Visit Big Bear offers more information on what’s available for visitors. Its visitors center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Saturday at 40824 Big Bear Blvd.
Pediatric urgent care coming to Fontana
Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital is bringing a pediatric urgent care center to Fontana, signing a 10-year lease at the Sprouts-anchored Highland Village shopping center.
The 8,400-square-foot space at 16874 South Highland Road will offer basic urgent care services for children aged newborn to 21. Those services will include treatment for minor illnesses such as coughs, colds, flu, fever, sprains and other non-emergency medical conditions.
The hospital expects the pediatric urgent care to open in early 2026.
Progressive Real Estate Partners represented the landlord in the transaction.
““Medical users increasingly favor retail centers for their visibility and convenience, plus properties like Highland Village – with freeway pylon and entry monument signage – make it easy for families to find the facility,” said Paul Su at Progressive.
Merchants at Highland Village include Arrowhead Credit Union, Raising Cane’s, Dutch Bros., Jack in the Box, Jersey Mike’s and Oggi’s Pizza, among others.
Fontana townhouse complex sells for $6.15 million
A newly built, 14-unit townhouse complex in Fontana recently sold in a matter of days for $6.15 million, or $439,285 per unit.
The property at 9223 Cypress Ave., completed in 2024, features townhouse-style units with bi-level layouts and garages.
The average apartment size is 1,205 square feet and includes modern amenities like stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, hardwood cabinetry, waterproof plank flooring and in-unit washers and dryers.
Listings for the townhouses, now removed or unavailable online, show that units were renting from $2,700 to $3,000, depending on the bedroom count.
CBRE represented both the buyer, Cypress Apartments Properties LLC, and the seller, Masters Development LLC.
“The overwhelming response to this asset — securing seven offers and entering escrow in under two weeks — speaks volumes about both the strength of the Fontana market and the quality of the property,” said Eric Chen, an executive vice president at the brokerage.
