An updated wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 4:09 a.m. valid from Sunday 4 a.m. until Monday, Mar. 3 at 4 p.m. for Western Mojave Desert.

According to the NWS Las Vegas NV, “Southwest winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
